Piece Of The Day: Coast Tulle Dress

For today's piece of the day I wanted to find a formal piece, something whimsical, timeless and suitable for the coming Autumn/Winter season (tomorrow marks the beginning of A/W fashion in my opinion, September 1st). I came upon the Coast website by chance, a fashion forum reader who was searching for a dress for an evening dress suggested the Embrace Tulle Dress and I think you'll agree it is beautiful.

The polyester dress is £295 and is described as:

'This fairytale inspired gown oozes eternal romance. Crafted from voluminous layers of soft tulle. The Embrace Tulle dress features a silk-satin waistband for a defined fit and flare hourglass silhouette. For an alluring appeal the dress has a low cut back. Boned at the bodice and fully lined this dress is 86cm in length from underarm to hem'.

A closer look at the detailing.

The dress is from the brands bridal collection and it's a stunning option for smaller weddings at home or in a warm climate. There's a 1950s feel to it and it reminded me of Keira Knightley's Chanel wedding dress. So understated and  chic...

Due to the length of the garment it is very versatile and when teamed with a tweed/leather jacket and a killer pair of heels would work equally well for dinner on a saturday night, a trip to the theatre or a formal party. There's so many ways to change it up, it's a surprisingly wearable piece.
